Summer, Past

It’s raining today.  The air is cool, not yet cold.  Leaves are turning, tops tinged crimson, waiting for the blush of deep Autumn.  And I’m thinking of summer: the tepid, glassy waters of Desolation Sound:

The childish antics of young-adult children:

Precious time spent together as a family (like the days of old…)

Still waters that run both deep and shallow, cherished all the same.
